Since Micro Control Company installed the MIRTEC MV-7U in March of 2008, the time savings and the improvements in quality and consistency have been substantial.
The machine has been a workhorse for us. Brian, Steve, and the guys have been great to work with and the support has been outstanding. The software, including OLTT and Repair Plus, is intuitive and easy to learn. MIRTEC worked with us in implementing the MV-7U, which handles up to 24” x 26” boards, into our large board production line. Many of our boards are 24” x 24” and can have up to 6000 parts per side.
The MV-7U inspects the entire board including placement, orientation, and component marking, solder, and laser height checking of BGA’s and fine pitch pins in less than two minutes per side. These boards would take several hours to inspect manually.
